Stuart Gray admitted that he found Saturday's 2-1 defeat at home to Yeovil Town hard to take.

"We were mugged, but the pleasing thing was that we showed a response to the Brighton performance," he said.

"We created plenty of chances but the ball would not run for us but you have to believe that it will even itself out over the season.

"As a manager there is not an awful lot you can do when you lose a game like this and it was a bitter pill to swallow. We are only a young side and these sort of things happen to young players but they will learn.

"I can't fault the players for their effort or their commitment but we have to learn to keep our concentration levels from the first whistle to the last.

"I wanted to get Daniel Jones into the side as a left back. I felt he would give us pace and width from full back and he did that. He delivered some good set plays but we were looking for someone to go in where it hurts, get a few stitches and put the ball in the back of the net.

"Joe Burnell did well on his first game of the season, but he was cramping up at the end and that is why he came off. I can't fault his effort, energy or commitment.

"Ian Henderson was left out of the side. We watched Yeovil and we knew they would flood the midfield and we needed an extra body in there to counter that. The game plan worked but we don't have any points to show for it and that is deeply frustrating

"If we keep that effort and commitment the breaks will even themselves out. We do not look like a struggling side, we are sharp going forward and our time will come."
