Stuart Gray was pleased to add former Norwich City utility man Ian Henderson to his squad.

"Ian is a young player with a great pedigree," he said.

"He played for England under 20s and has been on the verge of Norwich's first team for a few years.

"He can play up front or out wide on the flank and he has the pace and ability to fulfil either position.

"He is only in his early 20s but already he has made nearly 100 senior appearances at this level and in the Championship and he has the determination to do well.

"You need to have 2 or 3 players in your squad who can fill more than one position and I would refer to him as an attacking utility player. He can't really be pigeon-holed into one position but he can make a telling contribution in a number of areas.

"He has plenty of pace, a good background and he also has the determination and hunger to really achieve something with us.

"I think he will prove another good addition.

"We are close to bringing in a midfield player, hopefully in the next few days, who we will be paying a transfer fee for. After that, I expect to add another couple of strikers to the squad as pre-season progresses and then we will be just about ready."
