Ian Henderson admits he is pleased to have become one of Stuart Gray's summer signings at Sixfields.

"I am very, very happy to have sorted things out," he said.

"Talks have been going on for a few weeks now and I am very pleased that they have reached a conclusion and that everything is settled.

"I have played against Northampton a couple of times before, both for Norwich. I came here when I was 17 for a League Cup game, and I also played in the League Cup tie at Norwich a couple of years ago.

"I had a phone call off my agent a couple of weeks ago and he told me Stuart Gray and Northampton Town were interested. I came down for talks, met with Stuart and heard his plans and I was very impressed. Now I can't wait to get started.

"I see myself as a bit of a utility man, and I am happy to play anywhere along the front, either down the middle or wide left or wide right. I will do whatever is required to help the team and hopefully I can bring my experience of playing in the Championship to our benefit.

"I am very ambitious, and I will be doing all I can to be successful here at Northampton Town."
