KIRK LOOKING TO KEEP THE GOALS COMING
Andy Kirk said that Saturday's 2-2 draw at Tranmere Rovers felt like a loss after the Cobblers had been leading 2-0 for most of the game.
"Having been 2-0 up at half-time we were disappointed to only come away with a point and it felt like a defeat in the end really," he said.
"Tranmere are a decent side and they put a lot of pressure on us in the second half but we were very disappointed with the goals we conceded.
"We perhaps started to sit a little bit too deep in the second half but when that happens we need to make sure that we really dig in.
"We've got some good players and we are a good side. We work hard in training and the belief is definitely there.
"We all get on well as a group, there is a good bunch of lads here and we've all got a lot of respect for each other.
"I feel fit and strong at the minute, I'm scoring goals and my confidence is high.
"I think the understanding between me and Poul Hubertz is there and it was nice to see us both getting on the scoresheet again on Saturday.
"It felt like a defeat on Saturday but we have got to now pick ourselves up for Millwall on Tuesday.
"We have got to take the positives from Saturday's game and we are still unbeaten in our last five league games.
"Millwall haven't been doing too well this season but they've got some good players so we know that it is going to be another tough game.
"We can maybe capitalise on their bad form but we have just got to make sure that we go there with the right attitude, work hard and hopefully if we do that we'll come away with the right result."
