Northampton Town's astonishing record with penalty decisions has continued, with the club now being awarded just 2 spot kicks in the last 90 games, while 19 penalties have gone against the Cobblers in the same period.

Since Scott McGleish scored from 12 yards away to Barnet in December 2005, the Cobblers have only been awarded 2 penalties (both versus Saturday's opponents Cheltenham, one home and one away in 2006/2007.)

When you consider that one of those was for handball, referees have judged that Cobblers players have only been fouled once in the opposition penalty area in 8,100 minutes of football!
