Bradley Johnson was pleased to open his goalscoring account for the season at Luton Town on Monday night, but admitted that his goal was overshadowed by the result.

"It was nice for me personally to score my first league goal of the season but it was disappointing that ultimately it didn't count for anything," he said.

"It was a good goal and it is always nice to score when you are live on Sky. The Gaffer has always told me to shoot when I get the opportunity and that's what I did.

"We played well in the first half and at 1-1 Mark Hughes had a great chance cleared off the line.

"Things didn't go for us in the second half. I couldn't do much about the penalty, I got my body in the way but their lad has just struck it high and it hit my hand.

"We are doing well at home and hopefully we can take the positives from the Luton game and bounce back against Cheltenham on Saturday.

"Things aren't going for us away from home at the moment. I think our performances have been good but we perhaps just need that little bit of luck to turn those performances into results."
