Ryan Gilligan is hoping that an injury picked up in last Saturday's win over Cheltenham Town will not keep him out of this weekend's game at Oldham Athletic.

"Someone stood on my hand in the game against Cheltenham and I might have broken my hand or displaced a knuckle," he said.

"I went for an x-ray after the game and we will have to see what that shows up.

"Players play with casts on all the time these days and if it is broken hopefully they will be able to sort something out for me so that I can still play.

"We are on quite a good run at the moment, our home form is good and I think we are starting to build a good winning mentality which is always helpful.

"I was pleased with my goal, I had a shot earlier that I missed so I was just pleased to see it go in really. All my family and my girlfriend were here on Saturday so it was nice for them to see me score the winner.

"After we went 2-1 up we tried to kill the game off and I think we did that.

"The lads are playing really well at the minute but hopefully now I can put my name in the frame for a starting place.

"We had a meeting last week to talk about our away form. Unfortunately we have let in some sloppy goals away from home so I think we will go to Oldham trying to keep things tight because we know with Kirk and Hubertz upfront we have always got a great chance to nick the odd goal or two ourselves."
