BUNN PLEASED WITH LAST WEEKEND'S VICTORY
Mark Bunn admitted the win over Luton Town last weekend was made all the sweeter given that the Hatters had beaten the Cobblers twice earlier in the season.
"Luton had beaten us twice this season so it was really nice to get the win on Saturday," he said.
"The victory was the main thing for us but I was disappointed that we didn't end up keeping a clean sheet.
"I think I made some good saves in the game though and I was pretty happy with my own overall performance.
"The wind really picked up in the second half and that did make things very difficult but we knew that it was vital that we got the three points and thankfully we did.
"I've been ever present for the team this season and I want it to stay that way.
"It was really nice getting the player of the award last season and it would be great to get it again but a lot of the players have done really well this season so I know it's going to be hard.
"We are still striving to get into the top six but I think the start we had to the season may have just cost us. If we can't get into the top six this season our aim will be to come out of the traps flying next season.
"We've got a good squad of players here and if we can add to that over the summer hopefully we will be able to make a real push for the top six or even the top two next season."
