COBBLERS MAKE BAYO OFFER
Northampton Town boss Stuart Gray has confirmed that he has offered a new contract to striker Adebayo Akinfenwa.
"Over the weekend we have offered him terms and the ball is now in Bayo's court," he said.
"We need to get this steel rod out of his leg but once we've done that I've got every confidence that we can get him much fitter.
"Andy Holt and Ryan Gilligan, like Bayo, have got until June 16th to make a decision but I've said to them I'd rather know their decision sooner rather than later.
"Yes we want to keep them and I think they are both grateful that we've offered them new contracts but they are obviously well within their rights to talk to other clubs.
"Hopefully they will make their decision as soon as possible though because I need to start planning for next season and if they don't sign I will obviously need to bring in replacements."
