CHAIRMAN DELIGHTED WITH LAST CAMPAIGN
Northampton Town Chairman David Cardoza is in no doubt that the Cobblers enjoyed a very good campaign in 2007/2008.
"I think it's been a terrific season," he said.
"We had a bit of a blip when we went five games without picking up a point or scoring a goal but from Manchester United downwards every team has a blip at some point during the season and certainly from December onwards the team have been excellent and I couldn't have asked for more really.
"I'm absolutely delighted with Stuart Gray and he's been even better than I thought he would be. He's very calm and down to earth, he treats people in the right way and on top of all of that he is an excellent coach as well so he gets a lot of respect for that.
"We've been talking about extending his contract for several months now and I'm delighted that he is committed to this club for at least another two years.
"It was very important for the club that we got that done, we've shown faith in him and in return he's shown his faith in us.
"Stability is the most important thing at any football club and keeping the management team in place is key to that."
