BEAT THE BANANA!
Northampton Town Football Club are hosting the 'Beat the Banana' Event in aid of the World Cancer Research Fund.
Northamptonshire County Council are supporting this event, which is to be held at Sixfields on Sunday 14th September from 2pm to 4pm. The event is aimed at all school age children who have a 'race' and try to Beat the Banana to the finishing line.
Participants can take part any way they wish i.e. by running or walking or in wheelchairs. The format will be the same as the 'The Race for Life' and the distance will be 1,200 metres. Each participant will have a sponsor form and money collected from this will go to the World Cancer Research Fund.
Jagger and Woody from Northants 96 will be starting the race and commentating throughout, and each participant will receive a goody bag at the end of the race.
