COBBLERS TO OPEN UP AT BRACKLEY
Northampton Town will open their 2008/2009 pre-season campaign with a trip to Brackley Town on Thursday July 10th (7.30 pm kick off).
The game will be the Cobblers only match on English soil before they head off to spend a few days at a pre-season training camp in Germany.
The match will be played at St James Park in Brackley and could see the Cobblers up against former players Terry Angus, Dave Savage and Martin Reeves who are all currently part of the Brackley squad.
"I think the game is just what we are looking for before we head off overseas," said Cobblers boss Stuart Gray.
"It is also a good opportunity to help promote the club in the south west of Northamptonshire. I know we have a strong supporter base in that area and hopefully by going out and playing against Brackley we can help add to that as well as giving ourselves a good first work out ahead of the new season."
