WHAT WOULD A RE-DEVELOPED SIXFIELDS MEAN?
WHAT WOULD A RE-DEVELOPED SIXFIELDS MEAN?
NORTHAMPTON TOWN CHAIRMAN DAVID CARDOZA
"We have had a number of aims that we have been working towards since we arrived at this football club in 2002.
"On the field we want to have a squad that will excite, entertain and make the supporters feel proud. Off the field we want to provide the local community and the town with facilities of which we can all be proud.
"We have worked hard to provide education and community facilities at Sixfields for all, and with a re-developed stadium we will have the capacity to do even more.
"For the very future of the football club, both on and off the field, please show your support for the re-development. Help make Northampton a place to be proud of."
NORTHAMPTON TOWN MANAGER STUART GRAY
"It is vital for Northampton Town Football Club and the area as a whole that the re-development goes ahead. A town of Northampton's size needs a community stadium big enough to allow us to compete with neighbouring towns and cities, such as Coventry, Leicester, Derby, Milton Keynes etc etc.
"Milton Keynes saw their new stadium built using development income to build a stadium that the whole city can use, enjoy and be proud of. If we want to fulfil our ambition of bringing Championship football to Northampton then we have to do the same. Please write your letter in support of the re-development."
SUPPORTERS ELECTED REPRESENTATIVE ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AT NORTHAMPTON TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB ANTHONY COLLETT (NTFC SUPPORTERS LTD)
"The supporters of this club know just how much the club means to the population of Northampton and the surrounding area. Generations of Northampton citizens have dreamt of the club being able to maintain a higher division status, playing in a stadium of which they can be proud.
"In many ways, today's children are the lucky ones. More than 50,000 of them come into contact either on an educational, social or sports basis each year, and not only are they helped by that contact, they will be the ones who will hopefully be able to see the benefits to the town over the next few decades by giving this re-development the go ahead.
"Please get in touch with the council and show them just how much this re-development is needed by the town, the surrounding area and the citizens of Northamptonshire."
