COBBLERS CONCLUDE HOTEL DEAL WITH NBC
Northampton Town Football Club are delighted to confirm that negotiations have been concluded with Northampton Borough Council to allow the development of a hotel at Sixfields.
"This is good news," said Chairman David Cardoza.
"While it will not transform the club's finances, it is a step in the right direction. This does not mean that negotiations regarding the wider re-development of Sixfields are complete, but it does show significant progress and a desire from both sides to work together and move things forward. The club's relationship with the borough council has never been better and we hope that more announcements on the wider scheme which will lead to the stadium expansion will be coming shortly.
"We are in final negotiations with a couple of hotel companies to appoint one of them as our official partner for this hotel project. Once that is done, we are expecting planning permission to be submitted soon after. We have had a few positive and very helpful meetings with the WNDC and look forward to working with them on the planning application."
