Northampton Town Football Club have been delighted with the opening two days sales of 2008/2009 season tickets - with as many new season tickets being sold as renewals.
"That is the really encouraging news," said Customer Services Manager Paula Kane.
"We have had as many new season ticket holders buy so far as renewals, and to be attracting new season ticket holders is fantastic news.
"We have worked hard to increase attendances this season, and for season tickets not only are we writing to all current season ticket holders, we are also in the process of trying to contact many of those who previously held a season ticket in 2006/07 but haven't this season for whatever reason, and we are also trying to contact non season ticket holders who have been regular attendees of games at Sixfields this season.
"It has been a really good first two days of sales and the early signs are very encouraging."
