UNDER 18S SUFFER RUSHDEN DEFEAT
Northampton Town's youth team welcomed Rushden & Diamonds to Moulton College on Saturday for their latest fixture in the Football League Youth Alliance.
The Cobblers lost the game 1-0 with Rushden's winner coming late on in the second half.
"We never really got going and it was just one of those days where nothing really happened for us," said a disappointed youth team coach Sean Parrish.
"It's a bit disappointing because we've had some good performances and good results in recent weeks but credit to Rushden they made things difficult for us.
"Rushden frustrated us and we tried to force things a bit too much and really I'd have been happy to take the 0-0 because for one reason or another it was just one of those days where nothing would quite come off for us."
