BENJAMIN AND MARZETTI GOALS GIVE UNDER 18S VICTORY
Northampton Town's youth team welcomed Brentford to Moulton College on Tuesday for a re-arranged Football League Youth Alliance fixture.
The Cobblers returned to winning ways with a 2-0 success, thanks to goals from Joe Benjamin and Jon Marzetti.
"We had a young side out there and I was pleased with our performance," said Youth Team Coach Sean Parrish.
"We gave a number of under 16s a chance in the side to give them some experience ahead of next season and they will have benefitted from that. I was pleased with their attitude and commitment and I was also pleased with a clean sheet as we have been conceding some sloppy goals in recent games.
"We have one more game left this season, away at Wycombe on Saturday week, and once again we will give some of the younger players an opportunity."
